Finally Some Good News

It seems that the tumors which are distorting the front half of Dakota's face and preventing him from breathing much through his nose are not cancer after all. His vet says that after multiple tests, the smart guys at Purdue have determined that this is a rare condition called sterile granuloma dermatitis. And apparently there's been some success at treating it with steroids.

Of course, with the high concentration of steroids in his system, he won't be allowed to compete in any bodybuilding competitions. But he never did well in them anyway. The judges always said all that eyeliner made him look like a girly man.

Beautiful! I am so relieved to read that. Does this mean he doesn't get to continue the royal puppy treatment...I didn't think so :)

Praise God! So glad your buddy gets to stick around for awhile. Of course, he will demand continued pampering, but I suspect that isn't a problem? LOL!! You know WE've been talking, and the consensus is that you need to get back here for a visit. OTOH,some of us are thinking "road trip". Hmmmmm

Well...since God answered prayers for Dakota, maybe ya'll could lift Oscar (Ledney's Saint Bernard) up in prayer.

I got a call from the kids tonight & they said he wont stand up. I get home & he has messed on himself. I tried food, water & even putting the cat in front of him. He wont budge.

He has a lump on his leg the size of an orange.

Off to Doc Norwood early tomorrow
