DIY Help Needed

Okay, so part my living room needs a new floor. I really like the Pergo-style laminate wood flooring, and have designed everything to fit well and look nice.

The only difficulty I can foresee is in the transition. You see, the edge where carpet and wood meet is curved. Here is where the entryway tile and living room carpet meet:

As you can see from this rendering, I need a similar transition between carpet and laminate wood floor:

Any ideas?

Did you consider bamboo? Renewable resource, durable, beautiful and the price is on par with Pergo.

My verification word is: pinglyde. Not sure what it means but dibs on it for a band name!

Did you work out a solution? I'm about to design a similar layout, whereby I want to have a curved joining from carpet to laminate wood floor, not straight edged. Is there such thing as a flexible threshold? If not how did you overcome this? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Try "Z-Bar" get it at HD or a carpet installer. What your pic shows is z bar, you cannot see the transition because the carpet lays over it.
