Viking Lives

Only have a quick second, but wanted to drop a note on here about Viking being alive again.

We're working on a new album (first full-length one since 1989, and first release since 2006). Keep up to date on the Viking Facebook page and see some history here. Old school thrash metal is alive and well!

Hello, Ron!
I don’t know how to start… Well, I’m from Russia (Far East). In 1992 then I was 14 I’d listen your “Man Of Straw” at first time (it was an old type with bad quality of record but it wasn’t the problem for such masterpiece). In 2004 I’d got this album in mp3 format, I don’t want bothering you explaining how difficult it was… Now I have those mp3’s in all my sound playable devices.
I’m often asked myself about what happened with Viking, but always forget to search an answers in Internet. Yesterday I’m finally remembering it. The reason why the Viking was disbanded surprised me. I read your interview with rounded eyes. You have my respect for this, but it was sad to know that you’d have material for a new album and it’s even better than previous and we never get it… Then I decided to read your blog. First I’ve seen was this post, at this time my eyes just get out from skull! It’s fantastic news!
There is several metal band’s in Russia playing hard, heavy and even trash metal and being believed in God, “Aria” for example. They are bringing this to a millions of Russian people. So, you could do it too I think it’s not bad for Christian to play such music and believe in God at the same time. I believe in God, but I like the metal music very much.
Thank you for the blog, I’d read it all, you are good writer, designer and man.
I wish you all the best! God bless you and your family.
P.S.: sorry for my english.
